The Village of Granisle is seeking proposals from interested firms for the provision of the annual ISP administration, technical implementation and system design for the five year period effective January 10, 2020 to December 31, 2025 inclusive. Subject to satisfactory performance of the services by the successful Firm, the term may be extended, if mutually agreeable, for an additional two (2) year period.
The attached Request for Proposal (RFP) outlines the basic requirements of the Village of Granisle for the services to be provided by the firm.
The Village of Granisle has been the ISP provider to the community of Granisle and surrounding area of the regional district since 2007. The system has grown from 25 users in 2007 to 180 users in 2019. Users normally have two pieces of equipment. This is a wireless system, supported by 3 60’ towers and 150’ tower in the community and surrounding area. For infrastructure there is 64 pieces of equipment consisting of servers, routers, switches, telemetry, charging systems, backhaul, access points, P2P links, WAPs and Hotspots.
The Village of Granisle is supported by fibre optics to the community demarcation point. We currently offer 25 MBS download and 5 MBS upload speed.
