Effective June 15, 2017, Until Further Notice Closure of Public Facilities at Fulton River Spawning Channels
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada in cooperationw with Vihar Construction Ltd. are undertaking a major rehabilitation of the spawning channel gravel at the Fulton River Salmon Project during the Summmer of 2017. This rehabilitation work will ensure the continued successful production of juvenile Sockeye salmon at this facility.
In order to ensure the safety of the general public and construction crews on site, the following areas to public access will be closed for the duration of the project:
Public Washrooms, Public parking and picnic areas, Fish fence and interpretive area, Walking Path around Spawning Channel #2
The project completion time is expected to be mid to late August at which time these facilities will re-open to the general public
